How it works

A simplified process to make your life easier.

Book a date online

Use the online calendar to book a date. Your $50 deposit confirms for both of us that the date is officially booked.

Let me know in your booking if this is a second shooter, first shooter, or solo shooter wedding.

I'll give you periodic reminders before the date

I'll send you reminders that I'm still booked one month and then one week before the wedding. The week of the wedding, I'll reach out so we can discuss details.

Pay the rest after the shoot is over

After a great day of shooting, you'll pay the rest of the agreed upon rate.

Imagine the peace of mind you will feel to know your wedding team is booked and confirmed for the entire next year

Never know who's available to shoot?

You can check my calendar at any time to see my availability. If I'm available, you can book me immediately.

Tired of wondering if your second shooter remembers their dates?

After you're booked with me, will be the one to remind you ahead of time that we are still confirmed. I will reach out to you a week before to confirm that we're still on, and a couple days before to discuss details.

Feel annoyed when you train a second shooter who then quickly becomes your competition?

Since I have no plans to ever start my own wedding company, we can truly collaborate without you feeling like I'm going to steal your secrets and become your new competition.

FAQ

I'm a writer who has always done video work as a "side hustle." I like having lots of free time and low ongoing stress, so gig work suits me best right now.
I shot with the Panasonic GH5s for a few years and have recently switched to the Fuji XT4. I have a full set of lenses, tripods, monopods, audio, gimbal, lights, etc.
I think what we do is very fun but also bizarre. Why does every couple want to see themselves frolicking in slow motion through a field of wheat? How did this become our culture's symbol of romantic love? Are we to blame?

But I do unequivocally love the song "Shout," and I always drive home feeling strangely exhilarated.
Yup. I've shot lead on dozens of weddings and recently did my first solo wedding.
I've seen a disturbingly high number of photographer vs. videographer fights break out. Before 2010 or so, video used to be considered less important than photo, so there was a good deal of tension at weddings while videography "rose in status," so to speak.
My "claim to fame" in the small world of wedding filmmaking is that I regularly shot for Joe Simon when I was still in high school. This was back around 2009. I also shot a wedding for Ray Roman back then.

Since then I've been a regular shooter for Crescent Films, and recently have worked with Cloudcraft Studios and 718 Creative, among others.
